Electric Vehicle Air Conditioning – high voltage from Masterflux

As we move into our third year of installing and carrying the Masterflux line of air conditioning systems I thought I would go ahead and put up some of the information that we have learned.

Over this series of posts, I hope you will find the information you need to make a decision on which compressor and controller you need for your project.  I will start by listing our “high voltage” configuration.

This configuration is for vehicles with traction packs that are roughly 150V to a max of 400V.  The controller has both a low and high voltage cutoff at 120V and 420V respectively so be aware of your full charge voltage as well as how far your pack will sag as it depletes under load.
